A percentage of proceeds of all FRIDA jewels will be donated in loving memory of an inspirational friend, Audrey J. Parker, to the new Hospice Halifax residence opening in 2019. An evening celebrating fashion designers and artists of Nova Scotia, in support of the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning (MCCL). MCCL empowers youth, ages 12 to 19, through art and creativity.

The event was created by Carrie Lamb, owner of FRIDA; Nancy Smithers, owner of Nova Scotia Organics, and one of the founding members of MCCL; and Vlad Snytkin, performer and fashion designer.
